What's going on with these trees?

You have to find a path that reaches the goal, marked with a circle. You can only go on paths that are valid (marked with a line). For the first level, the valid paths don't change; for the other levels, the valid paths may change as you make more moves.

I don't quite understand. Can you show me the solution to the first tree so I can see what's going on?
