Candlepin Bowling Players: 2 or more This is a Constrained game. Object: To achieve a higher total score by knocking down more pins. Setup: You'll need one set of Boolean Dice for each player in the game. (The game can be played using just one set used serially, but one set for each player is preferable, particularly with more than two players.) Each player secretly rolls a set of Boolean Dice. These dice may be Shifted as desired, but may not be Examined or Nudged. These dice are then placed in a single row of ten, with either long edge presented to the player on the left. Play: Each bowler may view the dice as desired (noting that the sides of all but the middle dice are not visible). The bowler then makes two choices - which ball to roll first, and which end to draw balls from. Each bowler will roll ten frames. For the first frame, the bowler takes the selected die and Rolls it. If it is Black-up, it is a gutter ball, is removed from the game, and does not score. If it is White-up, the player scores one pin for each white face visible with Shifting. In each subsequent frame, the bowling takes the first die from the selected draw end and rolls it along with any dice that were White-up in the previous frame. The score for the current frame is then the sum of the white faces across all dice that are White-up. Game End: When all players have finished all ten frames, the game is over. The player with the highest total score wins.
